Domestic Cow (Bos primigenius)

General Information: Domestic Cows (Bos primigenius), commonly referred to as cows, are large creatures with horns. The general color is brown (but many color and breeds). Cattle generally are timid, but occasionally they can be quite aggressive -- with their size and horns, don't provoke wild cattle.

Taxonomy: Order: Artiodactyla (Even-toed Hoofed Mammals); Family: Bovidae (cows, sheep, goats, and similar mammals). Formerly Bos primigenius.

Breeding: Gestation of 9-11 months, calves born in spring.
