Overview

Wildhorse Road is a partially maintained backcountry road north of Highway 160 (the road to Pahrump) that provides 4WD access to the wild backcountry of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area at the base of the Red Rock Escarpment. Wildhorse Road makes a horseshoe-shaped loop, the middle of which requires a 4WD vehicle. The rest of the road is fine for 2WD-HC vehicles.

Wildhorse Road is 2.9-mile loop that runs through the desert between Mustang Hill and the Red Rock Escarpment. Camping is not permitted along the road.

Presented here are photos of the road running in the clockwise direction. For a detailed description of the road, including a map and GPS coordinates, see Wildhorse Road - counterclockwise.
