Widely spaced Creosote Bush (Larrea tridentata) and White Bursage (Ambrosia dumosa) are dominant in this association, often occurring alone or with Mojave Yucca (Yucca schidigera) at slightly higher elevations. Washes often support Catclaw Acacia (Acacia greggii). Annual forbs (spring wildflowers) are abundant after wet winters, but generally absent otherwise. The non-native Red Brome Grass (Bromus rubens) can be abundant.
