The Icebox Canyon Trailhead is hike is located in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, about 50 minutes west of Las Vegas, in the Scenic Loop
Road fee area.
From town, drive out to Red Rocks. From West Charleston at Scenic Loop Road (Table 1, Site 0519), turn right and drive north for 0.2 miles to the entrance station (Site 0855). Pay the fee, then drive around the one-way Scenic Loop Road for 7.8 miles to the Icebox Canyon parking area (Site 0522), which is about 0.2 miles past Mile Marker 8. The paved parking area is spread across both sides of the road. Park here; this is the trailhead.

Watch for traffic on the road, especially bike riders who might not make much noise as they careen down the road through the 15 mph zone.
The Icebox Canyon Trailhead provides access to hikes in the Icebox Canyon area, including access to the Escarpment, Icebox Canyon, and many miles of easy to strenuous hiking.
