Falling Man Rock Art Site
Falling Man

Overview

The Falling Man Rock Art Site is a fascinating petroglyph gallery that has seen many visitors over the years, and the Sandy Area is one particular spot in that area.

For Gold Butte National Monument, the Sandy Area is unusual for the amount of red paint remaining on the walls, and in some cases, it can be seen that the pictographs were painted too. In addition, there appears to be an image of a human riding a horse.

Note that Native Americans applied the red paint. It is illegal to add any more or otherwise mark the petroglyphs.
