Sweat Bees (Hymenoptera, Halictidae)

General: Sweat Bees (Hymenoptera, Halictidae) are a family of small to medium-sized bees that usually have dark or metallic colors including green and red. Males of some species have yellow markings and yellow faces. Because some of these bee species are attracted to perspiration, they are referred to as "sweat bees."
