Orange-crowned Warbler (Vermivora celata)

General Description: Orange-crowned Warblers (Vermivora celata) are sexually monomorphic warblers. Both genders are dull, yellow green with a bit of darker streaking on the breast. There is a bit of a light eyeline. In breeding season, an orangish crown patch can sometimes be seen.

Favored Habitat: Often found in shrubby habitats with trees, especially near water.

Where to Find: Corn Creek, Willow Springs, Floyd Lamb State Park, and the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve.
