Black-tailed Gnatcatcher (Polioptila melanura)

General Description: Black-tailed Gnatcatcher (Polioptila melanura) are tiny blue-gray birds with black on the top of the head; a black tail; a thin, pointy beak; and a narrow white eyering.

Favored Habitat: Desert scrub.
Black-tailed Gnatcatcher (Polioptila melanura) Where to Find: Black-tailed Gnatcatchers are birds of the desert scrub and brushy canyons. Look for them at Corn Creek and Willow Springs. The Henderson BVP is another good place to check.
