General
Description: Cassin's Vireos (Vireo
cassinii)
are
small, sexually monomorphic songbirds with a big voice and an eyering with a
line over the bridge of the nose that gives the bird the appearance of
wearing glasses. They have a
gray head, white wingbars, and yellowish on the body. Compare with the all-gray Plumbeous Vireo.
Favored Habitat:
Places with trees.

Where to Find:
During migration, Cassin's can be found everywhere, but when you look
for them, they are nowhere to be found; check Corn
Creek, the Henderson
BVP, urban parks (e.g., Lorenzi
and Sunset
parks),
and higher elevation places with forests like Mt.
Charleston.
