Ash-throated Flycatcher (Myiarchus cinerascens)

General Description: Ash-throated Flycatchers (Myiarchus cinerascens) are medium-sized flycatchers with red in the wings and tail and a yellow belly.

Favored Habitat: Desert scrub with perches and places with trees.

Ash-throated Flycatcher (Myiarchus cinerascens)

Where to Find: Ash-throats are fairly common. Watch for them in most desert areas flying out from a perch to catch a passing fly. Their rolling call often gives away their location before you see them. Corn Creek and Calico Basin are good places to check.
