General
Description: White-winged Doves (Zenaida asiatica) are sexually monomorphic doves of the deserts south of Nevada. White-wings are about the size and shape of a Mourning Dove,
but with a large white wing patch that shows in flight. At rest, the
wing patch appears to be a white bar on the leading edge of the folded
wing. White-wing Doves have a square tail with a broad white band across the tip.
Favored Habitat: Deserts, riparian areas, and town in the Sonoran Desert and points south. |
