Indian Peafowl (Pavo cristatus)

General Description: Indian Peafowl (Pavo cristatus) are large, sexually dimorphic birds. Males are brightly colored with iridescent greens and blues, while females wear subdued browns with only a little color. Breeding male has elongate feathers with iridescent "eye" spots. Both genders have a crest.

Favored Habitat: Urban parks.
