The Falling Man Rock Art Site is a fascinating petroglyph gallery that has seen many visitors over the years, and Falling Man is one particular site in that area.

The Falling Man site is curious for many reasons. Perhaps the main reason is that this figure is entirely unlike any others in the area: this figure shows motion rather than a simple, standing figure. The pose, horizontal with arms out, and the curved legs, show a falling motion. We are left to wonder is this petroglyph memorializes a friend or family member, or if it is a warning to others that this is a dangerous spot. Regardless, this artist, with more life-like technique, was far ahead of others in representational art.

For us, the warning is "don't back up too far when photographing the rock story."
