Beginning in late 2010, the US Fish and Wildlife Service began trying to return the Corn Creek area to a more "natural" condition. Pond 1 was converted to a cement pond, the stream was rerouted into the pasture to create a wetland (probably will be a weed patch in time), and the two lower ponds were drained and scraped clean. Most of the old trail system was replaced.
