Images of aircraft wouldn't normally fit on a website about birding and hiking around Las Vegas, but with Nellis Air Force Base, Creech Air Force Base, the Nevada Test Site, the Tonopah Test Range, and Area 51, the skies are full of military aircraft that become part of the outdoor experience around Las Vegas. Aircraft might intrude upon your solitude, but learning to identify aircraft in flight adds an odd twist to enjoying the outdoors while hiking and birding around Las Vegas -- how many species and varieties can you identify?
