The US Air Force Test Pilot School, located at Edwards AFB, is where the best Air Force pilots, navigators, and engineers learn how to conduct flight tests and carry out test missions. They also fly the NF-16D VISTA (Variable Stability In-Flight Simulator Test Aircraft), a modified F-16 Fighting Falcon that can actually fly backwards for short distances.
