Identification: The Thunderbirds are a precision aerial demonstration team who fly F-16 Fighting Falcon Jet Fighters, which are recognized by the short, conical snout, a single air intake under the fuselage, triangular wings that are absolutely straight across the back edge, and the single, vertical tail fin. They also have two rocket guides (or rockets) projecting ahead of the wing tips. Thunderbird jets are painted with the team's Thunderbird logo.

Mission: The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds perform precision aerial maneuvers demonstrating the capabilities of Air Force high performance aircraft to people around the world. The squadron exhibits the professional qualities the Air Force develops in the people who fly, maintain, and support these aircraft.
