Aircraft Around Las Vegas

Horizon Airlines, based out of Seattle, WA, is a regional airline owned by the Alaska Air Group, and it is closely allied with Alaska Airlines. Horizon flies primarily along the west coast of North America. Among other aircraft, Horizon flies twin-propeller Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 aircraft between southern California and Portland and Seattle. This is of interest to Sierra Nevada hikers because they fly right up the spine of the Sierra Nevadas at a fairly low elevation, and as such, the twin-engine drone is one of the main intrusions on hiker solitude.
