On December 9, 2013, US Airways Airlines merged with American Airlines to become American Airlines Group Inc. The final US Air flight, Flight 1939 to commemorate the year during which the company started flying, flew from San Francisco, CA (departing October 16, 2015), to Pittsburg, PA (landing October 17).
